When you have a kid in 4th grade, you’ll get weird assignments given to you on Friday that will be due on Monday. Such as, providing $13 worth of beans. Some of those beans will have to be blue. Have you ever tried to find blue black-eyed peas? Right. I thought so. So, you will have to dye them. Why, you ask, do YOU have to do this? Didn’t you already complete 4th grade? Well, if you trust your 9 year old in the kitchen alone with blue food coloring, please take some photos to share. Happy Sunday!! PS. Note that I wish I would have googled the process instead of relying on the teacher’s directions — mine would have come out right. There is no way I am doing these over since they have to be dry by tomorrow. Wouldn’t it have been nice to receive this assignment sooner? Yeah. That’s what I’m sayin’…
